66 wasd by Waterford businesswoman Elaine Roche in 1990 to
cater for an ever increasing demand for high fashion trends and
brands which were previously only available from Dublin or the UK.
Back
in 1990 the store was very denim orientated but as time passed the
demand for casualwear as well as denim grew.

Route
66 introduced many of the top brands to Waterford these include
Peter Werth, French Connection, Fcuk, Firetrap, Levis, Cinch, Pornking,
Psycho Cowboy, Kronk, Firetrap Females, Full Circle, Freesoul, Sponge,
Lee jeans, Golddigga and G-Star and of course the big two SUSST
and NOPE to name but a few.
Imagine
these are just some of the brands that were not available in Waterford
before Route 66 stocked them.
Today
Route 66 Clothing is renowned nationally as the leader for independent
retailers in South East Ireland.
It's customer base spans from Waterford City to Dungarvan, from
Tramore to Clonmel, from New Ross to Kilkenny and beyond.
The
store celebrated it's 10th anniversary last year with the launch
of this website.
